DropBox is ok and works well just DropBox Newspaper is a complete fail and let downwardly. It'due south confusing, limited, makes it difficult to collaborate. So I'd give 4 stars to DropBox and 1 to Paper.

Shockiing app that uses 1GB RAM after simply 10 minutes - even though all files are synced. Unsure what the app is doing but information technology is a memory squealer on M1 Mac Mini (16GB unified retentivity). I impale all dropbox processes/tasks with Action Manager and restart. Bam, within a minuite back up to 500 - 600MB RAM and less than x minutes later support to 1GB. I was a long-time user but can't perhaps recommend this app.

Some half brained production managing director brain farted and the engineers complied to make this stupid 100th bad file-brower app. In that location is absolutely no use for it. Information technology hinders everyday menstruation of searching & opening documents. Why would I take a useless app; when the OS gives me a sexy file browser and your job is f'ing just SYNC - IN THE BACKGROUND. Do not cantankerous the holy line & become infinite on my screen - if you had merely done what you do best - i.e merely sync; I would accept been happier & productive.

Dropbox remains one of the best and most reliable cloud services. Ignore the 1 star reviews, which are more deserving (from my directly experience) of Backblaze and their sad ilk.

1 star review is beingness generous. Treatment of long time users and limiting to 3 devices imposed without alarm is rubbish. Yes, it's functional merely hostility to users from company deserves 0 stars - not possible to score that low but I am certain many users would if they could. As for all these "5 star" reviews - faux reviews, one-time posters, probably some dropbox employee paid to post them! Message to dropbox - treat your users with respect!

Excellent Cloud based storage solution. Been using since it hit the web. Non interested in having to upgrade to 1TB of infinite for $, for just one device. Understandably Dropbox is a business and needs to bear witness a turn a profit. Thank you for what y'all've given, and will continue to use Dropbox as a secondary Cloud solution via the web interface.

A very good deject information storage service that'due south good for sharing and other purposes. Used their gratis service for years and the app has worked fine and integrated with macOS well. Never had an app crash through the years, including the current version. At present, how the heck did it receive a i out of 5 stars rating on Macupdate? Makes no sense.

I have used Dropbox for many years. It does what it says on the tin, and is perfectly capable of updating itself. I have given it iv stars rather than 5 because of recent years it has tended to become rather over-featured, with unnecessary interfaces and facilities. I am but writing this review because MacUpdate is pestering me, after downloading a fresh library re-create. Be warned! If the emails do not stop I will try unfollowing the app.

Still the about stable and fastest cloud storage throughout these years! Dropped G Suite and Office 365 after simultaneously using them. Loving Dropbox Transfer, it is like your builtin WeTransfer. Aye, the price is still a hurdle but fk it. Past the manner, All these complaints I see are just "gratis" users lament about 3 computers maximum for their gratis account?
